A REMARKABLE DISTRICT. ,' ,\: ■ • ■ i ', ■ • (United "Press Association—Copyright) CALCUTTA, August 9. ' The skeleton discovered at Paintiha is now believed to be that of a prehistoric giant ape. The skeleton has been placed in the palace of Chief Ramgarh, pending examination by geologists, who regard it as enormously interesting. The Jubbulpore district is renowned, for its wealth in fossilised relics of earlier age. A giant prehistoric mammal, reputed to be centuries old, was found there three years ago.
