HOCKEY.
MEN’S FI VE-A-SIDE TOURNEY. I'lie Mid-Canterbury Men’s Hockey Sub-Association will send two teams (one junior and one third grade) to compete in the men’s fiye-a-side tournament at Christchurch on Monday. The junior team has a bye in the first round, and the third grade team will meet Sydenham A in the first round.
WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT. The Ashburton Women’s Hockey Association will hold a senior and junior seven-a-side tournament in the Domain on Monday. Both grades will be played on the Yankee system. The following teams have been entered : ' Senior Grade —Hinds, Higli School, Methven A and B, Lowcliffe A and B, Rakaia, Kereone and High School Old Girls. Junior Grade —Dunsandel, Hinds A and B, High School, Methven and Mount Somers.
