HIS VISIT TO AUSTRALIA. EAGER EXPECTATIONS. LONDON, April 30. Prince Henry (the Duke of Gloucester) looking forward most eagerly to his visit to Australia as he feels that his experiences there are bound to appeal to him, his comptroller, Major Stanyforth, stated to-day. Major Stanyforth, who will oceompany the Prince said the King first raised the matter on April 26, and the Prince did not hesitate to accept as he had long wanted officially to visit a great Dominion. He had passed through Canada informally on his return from Japan. Major ,Stanyf'orth emphasised that the Prince’s favourite sport is shooting and it was suggested that a kangaroo hunt might bo organised in his honour. Major Stanyforth replied that nothing would please the Prince more, and also he would not miss tne Melbourne Cup for worlds. His Royal Highness will find it difficult to leave his dogs behind for, in addition to Ins favourite Abeideeus _ has four greyhounds, a bull mastiff aim a Labrador. He will probably be interested in visiting Australian cattle shows as he is a former president of tho Royal Agricultural Society and .s at present president of the Royal \ eterinary Society. The Prince dances well, although not so much as Prince George, and plays golf in spasms.
