WORKING OF BO YS.
BLACK LIST OF EMPLOYERS. TWO INSTANCES AT DUNEDIN. (Per Press Association);' DUNEDIN, This Day. At a meeting of the Vocational Guidance Association last evening a report from the officer presented a black list of a few bad employers. He stated that one master had six boys for periods of 18 months. When an increase in wages was due the boy was paid off and another engaged, thus throwing the lads on the laboitr market at 19 years. s Another bad case was long hours worked by boys employed for one milkvending farm. Tliey started atj 3.30 a.m., worked till lunch on the milk run, and then spest the afternoon till 4 o'clock collecting accounts. These boys received 12s 6d a week, plus ,5s extra for account-collecting. The officer added,, however, that such cases were exceptional, and were mentioned to show that the association was alive to the situation. ' >*' :r- 1
