EARLIER INTERESTS LOST.

LONDON, May 11.

"I am not interested in the war between Ibn Baud and the Imam of Yemen," declared "Lawrence of Arabia," otherwise Aircraftsman Shaw in an interview in th e"News-Chron-icle." "I am not interested in Arabia, and have not been there since 1918. "In spite of reports to the contrary, I am interested only in aeroplanes and motor-boats. "Next year I leave the Air Force. I do not want to but they will not have me because I am too old. It is still a young man's game. I am not unhappy. I like working on aeroplanes. "I am not interested in money or rank. There is no mystery about me. I am just an ordinary man, trying to earn a living in the way he likes. The Imystery about me is fictitious yet I am banned from every country because I am supposed to be a secret service, agent. I am nothing of the kind and never have been. "I want to be left alone, not hounded from pillar to post because I am supposed to be a notorious character." Aircraftsman Shaw confessed that he did not know ,what he would do after quitting the Air Force, but said he , would not soil his hands writing sensational stories of his alleged war-time exploits. "I only did it once, because there have to be official records," lie said, "but, apart from that, my hands are' clean."
