THE HINDS CLUB. GOOD FINANCIAL POSITION. The annual meeting of the Hinds Amateur Athletic Club was held on Tuesday evening. The president (Mr A. Annett) presided. A vote of sympathy was accorded the relatives of the late Colonel John SJtudholme, who was patron of j the club for many years and who assisted the club in many ways. The balance-sheet showed a, credit of £2O 2s 6d from membership fees. Takings' at the gate on the sports day amounted to £25, and expenses of the sports gathering amounted to £126. Is 4d. The credit balance in hand amounted to £62 lis 3d, the club having started the season with a credit of £6 10s. It was stated that this was the best financial position since the club ' was formed, showing the benefit of changing from a professional to an amateur status. Mr M. Farrell moved a vote of thanks to the secretary (Mr D. McDonald) for his services during the year. A substantial grant was made to the secretary. The president thanked the committee and all who had assisted during the Thanks were accorded Mr S. W. Tie (assistant-secretary), Mr H. Montgomery for being secretary part-time, and Mrs McGregor and Mr Elms (senior), to whom a presentation will be made at a later date.

The club decided to give a donation to the Technical Club, Christchurch, to assist members in the outlay for their sports. ■ c It was decided to hold a series of events during the summer for local active members.
