Mr James Maling, of Christchurch, was in Ashburton overnight.
Mr G. H. Maekley (general manager of railways) was a passenger for Dunedin in the express train this morning.
The Rev. J. A. Tyrrell-Baxter; of
Beckenham, is at present on a brief visit to Ashburton. He will leave for Qamaru to-morrow morning, and will return to Christchurch on Saturday.
