Thus Sir Austen Chamberlain, formerly Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, when opening a Unionist Fair at Birmingham. “Formerly I was opposed to women’s suffrage recognising that woman, does not need the vote to get her own way,” added Sir Austen. '“I confess now that the evil consequences I apprehended have not followed.”
