TURKEY'S REQUEST TO POWERS

LONDON, May 28. * Turkey is likely to ask the signatories of the Lausanne Treaty to agree to the fortification and garrisoning, in fact, the remilitarisation of the demilitarised zones, including the Dardanelles. It is understood that Turkey has informally communicated her views to the Balkan States and other Powers, but the form in which the application for permission to fortify the areas may be made is not certain.
