ARRIVAL at narromine.
ARRANGEMENTS IN SYDNEY. (United Press Association—Copyright). SYDNEY, May 29. Miss Jean Batten left Charleville at 9.30 a.m., accompanied by the Quantas escorting aeroplane, piloted by Captain Bird. She reached Bourke at 12.30 p.m., where she - had an enthusiastic reception, and l w r as entertained at luncheon by the Mayor and citizens. Later she continued her flight to Narromine. Elaborate arrangements have been made for Miss Batten’s arrival at Sydney at about 3 p.m. tomorrow. Twenty aeroplanes, flying in formation, wiil meet her over the city and escort her to Mascot Aerodrome, where the Aero Club, the local Mayor and aldermen, representatives of the 'State Ministry, the New Zealand Women’s Association, also Mr L. J. Schmidt (New Zealand Government Commissioner) will welcome her..
Arrangements have been made to enable her to broadcast the highlights of her flight at 8 p.m.TxPmorrow.
