SALE OF GERMAN BONDS.
ENGLISH FINANCIER SUED
(United Press Association— Copyright). LONDON, May 29 The Paris correspondent of the “News-Chronicle" says that a warrant has been issued directing the police to bring an English financier, Colonel Francis Norris, before an examining magistrate, following complaints to banks bv several firms, including Unilever Ltd., the British soap combine, alleging that they were unable to obtain on due date certain sums that Norris had undertaken to recover on their behalf from Germany, by the sale of German bonds. Norris’s total deals are said to amount to £23,000,000. Norris was a member oi the Inter - Allied Mission of Control in Germany after the war. He also acted as legal adviser to the Allipd Governments. His gigantic operations in connection with German credit recently have been the talk of Europe.
