NO AUTHORITY FROM'BRITAIN, v CUnited Press Association—Copyright) BRISBANE, May 28. The Acting-Premier (Mr Percy Pease) says he has received a cablegram from the Premier (Mr M. Forgan Smith), who is visiting England, as follows: —
"Mr W. E.' Elliot (Minister of Agriculture) emphatically denies that Mr S. M. Bruce has any authority to put forward any quota suggestions or similar matters of policy on behalf of or at the suggestion of the British Government."
