BAN ON IMPORTS.
CONTINUANCE IN GERMANY. SERIOUS FALL IN EXPORTS, (United Press Association— Copyright) This Day, 1.15 p.m.) BERLIN. May 28. Necessitated by the continued decline in exports, new restrictions on imports are announced. The temporary prohibition on imports of wool, cotton, vegetable hides and base metals will be continued' till the end of the month, when the amount of foreign exchange available for their purchase will bo regulated by the control offices. , _ The Government is dismayed by the extent of the fall of exports, which is attributed to foreign retaliation for anti-Jewish legislation. The stocks of many raw materials are running lew. Hoarding of woollen garments has begun. Many families have bought winter suits of underclothing in the belief that by autumn, there will beonly substitute garments mad© of paper and nettle fibre/.
