BRIGHT SUNSHINE AFTER FROST
The frost registered at the Domain weather station this morning was eight degrees. As a result of the heavy dew cue point was recorded by the rain gauge. Bright sunshine prevailed to-day, the sky being clear all day. A cool breeze blew' from the north-east. The bnrometlic pressure at 9 a.m. was 30.31 'inches, compared with 30.29 inches yesterday morning. Extreme shade temperatures yesterday and last night were 48.3 degrees and 27.3 degrees. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather : General inference: An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand, the centre being over the northern part of the South Island. A depression is developing off the coast of New South Wales. The forecast fc the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamnru is as follows: — Light to moderate and variable winds, with north-easterly to northerly gradually prevailing and freshening. Weather fine, and milder. Seas smooth to moderate.
