UNSPORTSMANLIKE

RUDE RUGBY FOLLOWERS.

ASSOCIATION MATCH UPSET.

(Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27

Tho action of Rugby spectators at the Hutt Recreation Ground in walking across an adjoining field where an Association football match was in progress was strongly commented upon by devotees of the latter code on Saturday. The incident was the more serious as at the time one of the sides was leading an attack which, but for the interruption, might have put a different complexion on the result. "It was grossly unfair and unsportsmanlike," said Mr J. S. Sanderson, who was refereeiiig the Association game. "It appears that Rugby enthusiasts think theirs is the only sport. Certainly they have no consideration for anyone else." Another official observed that the same trouble had been experienced before, and it was time it was taken up by the Rugby authorities.
