UNEMPLOYED RELIEF.
PAYMENT FOR WET DAYS.
DECISION AT CHRISTCHURCH. (Per Press Association). ■CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The principle of allowing relief workers to report at central points on wet days and of paying the men full relief wages for official wet days was adopted at a conference, held this morning, of all local bodies and authorities in Christchurch and .adjacent to the city who employ men under the No. 5 unemployment scheme. Resolutions covering the position were passed, and these are to be submitted to the Unemployment Board, the Minister of Employment, and the Prime Minister for approval.
THE FREE MILK RATION.
APPLICATION TO WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, This Day. The policy of free milk rations to the families of married men on permanent sustenance, announced in Auckland, applies also to Wellington for the winter months.
