/ VISCOUNT SUMNER.
A DISTINGUISHED JUDGE. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 27. Viscount Sumner, a former Lord of Appeal and British delegate to the Peace Conference in Paris, who has died in London at the age of 73 years, was by general consent one of the most distinguished judges and one of the greatest authorities on commercial law of recent times. As a judge he was noted for the rapidity with which he reached his decisions in even the most difficult cases, and he was never known to reserve his judgment. He frequently spoke in. the House of Lords, where his opinions, particularly on constitutional issues, carried the greatest Official Wireless.
PROFESSOR HENRY G. CHAPMAN SYDNEY, May 26. Professor Henry George Chapman is dead, aged 53. He was director of cancer research at Sydney University.
