KING INSPECTS AERODROME. PUBLIC INTEREST AROUSED. (United Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, May 24. Rehearsed and unrehearsed thrills filled the Royal programme when the King, as chief of the Royal Air b orce. accompanied by the Queen, visited Bircham Newton aerodrome. Inis was their first post-war inspection of such an establishment, giving great impetus and popularity to Air Day, which was marked by the opening of all aerodromes to the public, of wincn thousands took advantage. then Maiesties inspected all types of aircraft, the King asking many questions. Their Majesties wore interested m the robot pilots, also in craft similar to that in which Miss Jean Batten flew to Australia.
