REMITS AT WANGANUI. WANGANUI, May 24 The inter-provincial conference of the New Zealand Farmers" Union, representative of the Wanganui, Wellington Central. Wairarapa and Manawatu provincial centres, was held here today. Remits were carried as follow : That no alteration "Be made m the existing period of summer time as regulated to one half-hour from October to March. That the Government force county councils to take over the contrpl ol noxious weeds. , .•■.,,, That the high retail price of milk be investigated. . That if compulsory grading of pigs be introduced, a grading scale of payment be made on choicest, first and second grades. . v That the grading of pigs be made more uniform. That the establishment of margarine factories in New Zealand be opposed. That woolbrokers give preference at sales to the new season's clips as against held-over wool. That the railways be asked to- reduce the charges for 'the carriage of live stock.
