NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, May 24. To fill a vacancv caused by the death of Mr ID. Murray Kean, Mr H. N. Burns was elected secretary and treasurer of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association at a meeting of the association this evening. Mr Burns is well known in lawn tennis circles both as an administrator of the sport and as a player. Since August, 1931, he has been honorary secretary of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association, a position he will now relinquish. THE SURREY CHAMPIONSHIP. LONDON, May 24. In the Surrey tennis championship, Nislrimura (Japan) reached the semifinal, beating a New Zealander, Mr A. Young, in straight sets after a hard fight.
