TWO SONS MURDERED. SEATTLE', January 22. Oskar Hcstness, a fisherman, who apparently is an insane religious fanatic, declaring himself to he "a messenger of God," has been sent to gaol on a charge of strangling to death his two young sons. Hestness said he killed his eldest boy John, aged 10, when the child said, "The Devil is in me." The man added: "God appeared to me and told me to choke the Devil out of him." Later he killed Henry, aged four, in the same manner.

Accused admitted that his wife knew of the murders. "She did not like to have mo do it," he said, "but she knew it had to be done because God told me to." '
