ENTRY FORMS EXHAUSTED. PREPARATIONS IN AUCKLAND. (Special to the " Guardian.") AUCKLAND, January 29. Entries for the Royal Show to be held at the Epsom Show Grounds on February 8, 9 and 10, have closed, and in many classes have exceeded the accommodation provided. Although a 100 per cent, increase over the accommodation for ordinary shows had been planned it will still be necessary to provide further pens, stalls and paddocks. There were 6000 entry forms printed, but they were exhausted before the closing date, and late entries had to be made on rough forms. "We expected an increase on the ordinary shows that have been held since the last Royal Show in 1926," said Mr W. F. O'Donnell, secretary of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association, "and Ave were prepared for almost double, but the number that has come in has'exceeded all estimates. Steps will be taken to erect the additional accommodation required. All the entries have not yet been counted,, but the dog, pig, sheep and cattle entries will certainly be the greatest for many years. Mr O'Donnell outlined some of the features of the show, which will include a motor Olympia arranged by the motor trade, and a parade of the latest cars.

Dog trials, in which the leading sheep dogs of the Dominion will compete, will be another feature of special interest. The eliminating trials will be held on the oval of Alexandra Park, and the finals on the main ring in the Showgrounds on Saturday, February 10. Officials confidently believe that the 'forthcoming Royal Show will eclipse in every way the successful Royal Show held in 1926.
