DOMINION PRODUCE.

HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated October 28, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: Tallow—Better demand at auction. Of the 750 casks- offered .469 were sold. Present spot quotations are: Mutton, fine 24s to 24s Gd, fair to good 21s 6tl to 23s 6d, dark to dull 19s to 20s ; beef, sweet and/or mixed 22s 6d to •245, fair to good 20s 6d to 225, dark to dull 18s to 19s 6d; mixed, fair to good 20s 6d to 21s 6d, dark to dull 18s to 19s 6d; gut, etc.', 17s Gd to 19s Gd. Apples—Stocks of New Zealand now cleared. Market remains depressed, with somewhat lower prices.

Eggs—Market firm. English, national pack 17s to 225, ordinary pack 1.7 sto 19s ; Danish 12s Gd to 16s, Australian lis 3d to 12s 9d; New Zealand, 14-181 b per long 100, lis to 13s 3d.

SYDNEY WOOL SALES. PRICES SHOW AN ADVANCE. SYDNEY, October 30. The wool sales resumed to-day under the keenest competition from all sections. The market showed an advance of 1\ to 10 per cent, on closing rates of the previous Sydney series. Good free wools revealed the full extent oi the advance, but comebacks and crossbreds were in keen request, and splendid clearances Avere effected. Greasy merino fleece made up to 25£d, which is the top price for the season here. It was obtained for five bales from Barraba. Offerings totalled 11,666 bales, ofwhich 11,320 were sold, while 2619 bales were spld privately.
