■ (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. 1 "The Sydney Morning Herald" correspondent at Canberra say,s that a serious situation has developed in the Federal Parliament. It is learned that the Country Party intended, to insist upon amendment of the Bill to give further concessions to old age pensioners . and that it would have received support not only from the Federal Labour Party and tho Beasley group but also from the Government's own supporters, who are prepared to vote against the Ministry unless some compromise is effected. This is likely, but the Government regards tho matter as vital and, if defeated, it will seek a dissolution.
