FAMOUS CONDUCTOR.
VISIT TO AUSTRALIA. LONDON, August 29. Sir Hamilton Harty, famous conductor is to conduct orchestral concerts in Australia. He will leave in April to rehearse the existing orchestra. Sir Hamilton says he has visited many parts of the world but never Australia, and he is charmed with the idea. . . "Nothing so attracts any musician as forming^a first-class orchestra," Sir Hamilton said. "Many of my friends are Australian musicians in England. I have the greatest admiration for Australian musicians and vocalists. It is a wonderful thing to bring the orchestral side level with the vocal. I will do my best to-encourage Australia's orchestras."
Sir Hamilton will stay two months in Australia,
