The "Financial News" says: "The New Zealand Government is to be con-Ki-atulated on the firm resistance to the efforts of individual local authorities to meet London interest payments in depreciated currency. "The policy of the Government is morally right, because the depreciation of the value of the New Zealand pound is largely the result of deliberate devaluation, against Mr Downie Stewart's advice. '
