WALKER v. PATTERSON

Walker defeated Patterson in the fifth round to-night before a, large crowd. The bout was characterised by rough tactics and showmanship, Patterson offending most in illegal use of the elbow and strangle holds. Paterson secured a/fall in the second round with a flying body scissors and body press. Walker evened in the fourth, round Avith a back dump and body press. The bout ended in the next round, Walker throwing Patterson with a series of headlocks and securing a fall with a reverse toe hold. Patterson was groggy.
