GROWING TENSION

DISTRUST IN SOUTH JUTLAND.

“FEELING AS CfF AUGUST, 1914.”

GERMAN DESIGNS SUSPECTED

(United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.23 pjm.) LONDON, August 28.

The Copenhagen correspondent of “The Times” reports that growing tension in South Jutland owing to recent Nazi activities ,in the neighbourhood of the Danish-German frontier was strongly emphasised at a private meeting of all Danish political parties. One speaker declared: “There is a feeling of August, 1914, in the air. Though we do not fear trouble, we believe that Germany will attempt to recover her lost territory immediately she feels strong enough to face the opposition of the Powers.” Leading Nhzis make no secret that they desire restoration of the 1864 frontier. German Storm Troopers marched through the streets of Flensburg, singing of the coming reunion of the Tyrol and North Schleswig with the Fatherland. —“Times.”
