The Albury mail train to which was attached the Premier's carriage, was delayed for an hour near Harden when a sleeping car parted from the main body of the train. The Westinghouse brakes were applied automatically, the parted sections of the train stopping within live yards of each other. The mishap occurred about 30 miles from Bowning, the scene of the recent derailment.

The Premier (Mr B. S, B. Stevens) and Mr J. Lawson, M.L.A., were on the train. The latter was injured in the accident at Bowning.
