VISIT OF YOUTH ORCANISER ITINERARY FOR- ASHBURTON COUNTY. The Ashburton Presbytery met yesterday, the Moderator (Rev. A. D. Kirkland) presiding. Motions of sympathy were passed with the relatives of the late Revs. Frank Rule (Christchurch) and J. C. Patterson (Oamaru). Mr A. Davidson (Wakanui) reported that Miss Kirkwood (secretary of the Young 'Women’s Bible Class Union), woidd visit the Presbytery’s district from August 20 to September 2. She would hold meetings at St. Andrew’s from August 20 to 22; Rakaia, August 23 and 24; Metliven, August 25 to 27; Mayfield, August 29 and 30. During the remainder of her stay in the district she would conduct a youth workers’ institute in St. Andrew’s Hall.

It was agreed that the young women’s and young men’s Bible classes should each appoint two representatives on the Presbytery’s Youth Committee.

The Moderator reported that the Sunday School examination papers had shown excellent merit, the majority of the papers being from 70 to 100 per cent, correct.

The clerk (Rev. -W. Marshall) stated that he had received advice that the advisory Board would meet in "Wellington on August 23. The Revs. R. S. Watson and W. Marshall, and Mr Davidson, with representative elders, were appointed a committee to consider the assembly remits and report to the next meeting of the Presbytery.
