TARIFFS MUST BE ABANDONED WARNING ‘BY SHIPOWNERS (United Press Association— Copyright). LONDON, April 5. Air Lister, president of the Chamber of Shipping, declared that international trade would scon be completely damned unless the Government abandoned its high tariff walls. Shipowners should do their utmost to promote the success of the Economic Conference, because the health of the shipping mdustry depended oil world trade.
