SCHOOLBOYS STRIKE

Protesting against their teachers' salaries not being paid, thousands of high school students at Chicago walked out on strike from their class-rooms today. : At Englewood High School 4500- students left their room® and paraded through the rain, waving banners. In definance of the school authorities? pleas and warning, 4500 pupils at Calumet High School and 6000 at tho Crane Junior College and High School left their desks. Squads of police summoned by the school officials were unable to turn them back.
