UNEMPLOYMENT IN BRITAIN. AN IMPROVEMENT SHOWN. (United Press Association —Copyright). LONDON, April 4. During March there was an increase of 103,000 in the number of persons employed and a decrease of 80,544 in the number of registered unemployed. A large proportion of. the increased employment was in the building industry, where there were 52,000 fewer unemployed. There was .also some improvement in other trades, but there was a decline in coalmining, cotton and hosiery industries, and dock and harbour services.
