TRYING EXPERIENCE.
BREAKDOWN OF A LAUNCH. (Special to the “Guardian.”) GREYMOUTH, Oct. 27. 'Three men fishing in the Grey roadstead yesterday afternoon liad an experience which they will remember for some time. The engine of their launch broke down and as no assistance was forthcoming and night was approaching, two of them decided to return to port in the dinghy. After rowing seven miles they reached port at 9 p.m.
Messrs G. Hill and G. Finnerty immediately left by launch and by means of a benzine flare shown by the man aboard the disabled launch, were able to locate it' and take it in tow, port being reached about 1 a.in.
