COST OF ENTERTAINING. BANKPUPTCY EXAMINATION. LONDON, October 13. “A first night party usually cost £4O because the guests always drank a lot,” said Diana Wilson, Avell-known actress, under examination in bankruptcy. Debtor’s liabilities are £2686 and her assets £56. She said she earned £SO a week in Australia, hut did not save because she thought it would always continue. Miss Wilson attributed her failure to lack of regular engagements since 1926. She had been entertaining beyond her means in the last three years, in which time she had spent £625 on entertaining. Sometimes she entertained twice a Aveek and sometimes once a month. Daina Wilson gained most of her stage experience in Australia as a member of Lawrence Grossmith’s and Oscar Asche’s companies. She. was leading ladv to these stars, playing in “The Silver Fox,” “Captain Applejack’s Adventure,” and “Quarantine” Avitli Grossmith.
