THE QUESTION OF CONTROL. A PROPOSAL OPPOSED. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. A proposal made to the Government by certain power boards, that the electric power supply of cities and boroughs which are at present acting independently, be brought under control of power boards, was contested by a deputation from cities and boroughs to Mr J. G. Coates. Mr Coated said t-lie position was a difficult one, and would have to be investigated by the Government. However, any decision made would not be reached without consultation with the authorities concerned.
