The “hunger-marchers,” numbering 2000, have reached the suburbs of London, where they were welcomed by mass meetings of unemployed. They were accommodated in schoolrooms and .cSurch . halls .and provided with food, baths and medical attendance. The contingent that arrived at Acton was headed by a piper and the Red flag. . , Copeman (leader of the Norwich contingent) was dismissed from the Navy after the Inyergordon .affair. Buglers and drummers led the south coast marchers who arrived at Wimbledon.
