TRADE OF BRITAIN.

DECREASES FOR MONTH OF MAY GREATER EXPORT OF VEHICLES. United Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Juno 11. The trade returns for the month of May show a slight increase in the value of exports compared with those of April and March, but compared with the returns for May last year the heavy decreases in both imports and exports. Imports for the month were valuel at £09,090,000, being lower by over £21,000,000 than those of May last vear. .Exports, valued at £39,000,000, showed a decrease of £20,000,000. Reduction in values owing to the world-wide slump is to a large extent responsible for the decreases. A significant feature of the figures is the considerable expansion on the month in the value of exports of vehicles, including locomotives, motor-cars, ships and aircraft, which have risen lixnn £2,400,000 to £4,3oo,ooo.—British Official Wireless.
