THE WEATHER.
THREE DEGREES OF FROST. Rain late last night and early this morning in Ashburton was followed by three degrees of! i/ost. For the 24 hours to 9 a.m.. to*lay seven points of rain were registered. Conditions today wore sunny and pleasant. The barometric pressure at 9 a.m. to-day was 30.24 inches, compared with 30.2 inches yesterday. Extremes of temperature yesterday were 55 degrees and 36.2 degrees.
