WORK AT MASSEY COLLEGE. (Per Press Association); PALMERSTON X.. March 19. . In the eour.se of a report 1o the Massey Agricultural College Council. Professor Riddet (Dean of the Faculty of Dairying) stated that the principal iines of work on the manufacturing side this year were the comparison of cheeses made from high and low-testing milk and the study of the effect of keeping starter mother cultures in different ways. An investigation of practical methods of improving maturity export cheese on arrival in the United Kingdom was in progress. A fairly extensive butter-making oxneriment was eairied out with the object of determining whether it was possible to export butter with ?< fuller flavour than the standard export produce which would oreserve its character till it reached the consumer in Britain.
