(Received This Dav, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, March 18.; The Riga correspondent -of “ The Times” states that, despite orders to attach miners until the completion of the five years’ plan, desertions in the Don basin since January total 10,000. Therefore the Ukrainian Trade - Union Council has ordered urgent measures, including the supply of bedsteads - abjo the provision of theatrical compamto and cinemas to amuse miners between shifts.—“ The Times.”
