THE WEATHER.
A PLEASANT DAY. Conditions in Ashburton last night were not so chilly as they have been for the past night or so, and no frost was recorded this morning. To-day was cool and pleasant. The barometric pressure at 9.30 a.m. was 29.98 inclu's, compared with 29.f>l inches yesterday. Extremes of temperature yesterday were 70. G degrees and 49 degrees. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The following official weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for southerly moderate to strong winds, gradually decreasing. The weather will probably be cool and changeable, with isolated 1 showers, hut improving. The barometer is rising slowly.
