MOTOR SPEED RECORD.

"WIZARD" SMITH'S CHANCES.

CAMPBELL MAY VISIT DOMINION

(United Press Association —Copyright). LONDON, March 14. Sir Malcolm Campbell, in an exclusive interview with the Australian Press Association, said: "If the information concerning his car is correct, I believe 'Wizard' Smith stands an excellent chance of beating my Daytona record in the forthcoming attempt on the Auckland (Ninety Mile) Beach. If he does, I will certainly go to Auckland with the Bluebird, and make an attempt to regain the record. Smith's engine is the same make as mine. With the average amount of luck and good conditions, I quite expect him to pull off the record. "The Bluebird, which is now en route to Buenos Aires Exhibition, still has a few miles per hour in reserve. It has been tuned up in view of the possibilitv of another record run. At the moir'ent I hear of Smith's success I shall prepare for going to Auckland. I feel confident that the Bluebird can travel faster thr.n any car in the world today," he declared.
