THE WEATHER.
A FINE WEEK-END. After a pleasant week, Ashburton experienced a, fine week-end, with pleasant sunny conditions. The w*?arther to-day was cool and cloudy. The barometric pressure at 9 a.m. today was 29.83 inches, compared with 29!8 inches yesterday and 30.16 inches on Saturday. Extremes of temperature yesterday were 73.6 degrees and 53 degrees, compared with 73.2 degrees and 44.6 degrees on Saturdnt:
TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following official weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for .westerly moderate' to strong winds, backing by west to south. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, later becoming cloudy and unsettled, with rain following. * The barometer is unsteady but will rise shortly.
