The Rev. W. Lamb, of Sydney, who was pastor cf the Ashburton Baptist Church nearly thirty years ago, is visiting Christchurch!
Mr 0. Clark, formerly Postmaster at Ash burton, and more recently Chief Postmaster at Greymoiith, has been transferred to Oamaru.
A Christchurch telegram announces the death, at the age of 52, of MiAndrew James Benzie, president of the Canterbury Commercial Travellers and ex-president of the Dominion Bowling Council. \
A Blenheim. telegram states that Miss Pauline. Bennett, of the Marlborough Aero Club, has gained a B pilot's license, the* first issued to a club-trained pilot in the Dominion.
Mrs W. H. Robinson and Miss A. E. Watson left Ashburton for Nelson today . where . they will represent Ashburton and Tinwald at the .Dominion Conference of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Miss Ella Beck and Mr F. H. Silcoek will represent the "Y" Branch of the Union.
