CHILD SCALDED.
- MAN’S THUMB INJURED. A two-year-old child, Rona Sloper, whose parents reside in South Street, lias been admitted to the Ashburton Public* Hospital suffering from extensive scalds on the body. Her condition could not. be ascertained this afternoon. Mr Cl. C. Field, of Dromore, has been admitted to hospital, suffering from a severely cut thumb, the injury being caused, it is understood, by an axe with which Mr Field was chopping wood.
