ENTERTAINMENTS.
MAJESTIC THEATRE. “The Valiant,” which was so much enjoyed by a large attendance of pic-ture-goers on Saturday night, will be screened finally to-night. It is supported by some very entertaining short subjects. Commencing to-morrow .afternoon and night, and showing on Wednesday and Thursday, there will be “William Fox Alovietone Follies of 1929.” Youth and beauty, as well as a good foundation in stage dancing, were the requirements laid down by Alarcel Silver, director of revue, in selecting the young ladies of the ensemble for the William Fox Alovietone Follies of 1929, the all-singing, dancing and talking musical comedy! Hundreds of girls who successfully fulfilled all three requirements, however, wore unable to pass the exacting screen tests, and the final selection represents, according to Air Silver, the most nearly perfect, allround chorus ever chosen for any "reduction. Some of the girls are products of the studio of Fanclion and Marco, famous throughout the country for their tabloid musical comedies. Others are from well-known dancing schools of New York and Los Angeles. The average ago of the girls finally selected is a trifle more than 16 years.
