MAN {N STEEL BARREL. WHIRLPOOL AND RAPIDS. SECOND SUCCESSFUL TRIP. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) VANCOUVER, June 1. A message froli Niagara. Falls states that for the second time in his adventurous career William Red Hill, a Niagara boatman, defied the swirling currents and eddies of the whirlpool and lower rapids below the Falls, and survived. He made his spectacular trip in a steel barrel, which for nearly four hoUrs was tossed about like a rubber ball in the sight of 5000 people, including Mrs Hill and their eight children. Hill suffered no ill-effects.
