About 1000 applications have been received from candidates outside the Civil Service for 10 new Trade Commissionerships abroad, created by Mr J, H. Thomas (Minister of Employment) It will take some time yet before the final stage of selection by personal interview is reached. lhe preliminary sitting oi tne candidates qualifications is still in progress. In the final selection eight commercial secretaries will be appointed, in Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Eavpt Finland, Persia and Switzerland. as well as two Trade Commissioners at Montreal and Durban.—Bntish Official Wireless.
