A YEAR’S REGISTRATIONS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 11. Interesting figures showing the imports of petrol into New Zealand during the last 12 months, 'and the number of motor vehicles in the Dominion, were placed before the meeting of the North Island Motor Union today. It was shown that during the 12" months ended December 31. 1929, 62,448,000 gallons of petrol were imported into New Zealand. The number of motor vehicles registered in New Zealand as at March 31, 1930, was as folows: —
North Island. South Island Cars ... 94,376 53,714 Commercial vehicles 22,668 10,477 Cycles ... 22,686 15,681 Total 139,730 79,872
